Church: A Force for Social Change

On Daily Faith, we’re joined by Pastor Eric Camp from Collective Church, Pascagoula, MS. Now a candidate for State Representative in House District 111, Pastor Camp is committed to guiding with integrity and awakening unity, realizing WE are the people.

As our nation faces turbulence, we need leaders rooted in Christian values, those unbent by society. Our nation is in turmoil, and this critical moment calls for resistance against wickedness and the restoration of God’s will. The church once stood as the heartbeat of communities, serving as a hospital, school, and gathering place. Yet, today, its concern is attendance rather than discipleship.

But God’s intention is for us to serve as His active emissaries on Earth, filled with integrity, courage, and action. Now more than ever, it’s imperative for the church to shake off its lethargy and rise to answer to action. As His followers, we must step beyond the church walls, putting faith into action because faith without works is dead. God, in His grace and mercy, calls us to mirror His compassion and effect change.

The children at The Orphans’ Hands are making strides for God’s Kingdom. Their hearts desire is to see young kids step into the love of Jesus and shape their identity after His passion. Our kids are reaching this younger generation through our summer camps, sharing a seed of hope. In many impoverished counties, these children are forced to live in an orphanage due to lacking support and care. They’re hopeless and abandoned, struck by the harsh realities and false hopes of the human traffickers.

The Orphans’ Hands ministry is a sanctuary of love and healing for numerous abandoned and traumatized children. Our village of homes in Moldova, Vatra Village, and our house in Odessa, Ukraine, welcome these children, providing care and the love of a new family. Our kids have accepted this call to boldness in Christian leadership and are standing firm on God’s word to be a change they want to see in their community. They’ve accepted the call and are rising to action through faith to help make a difference in the world.

Our Constant Care team, maintaining integrity and unwavering faith, has touched hundreds of lives across Ukraine, Turkey, and Syria, providing food, supplies, Bibles, and shelter. In these testing times, we’re grateful for your prayers and generosity.
