How to Fight Spiritual Battles with the Overcomer Spirit

On Daily Faith, we have the pleasure of hearing from Thomas McDaniels, the founder of Lifebridge.tv, who is also a father, pastor, public speaker, author, and podcast host. Thomas joins us to discuss the significance of battles in our lives, a much-needed topic not discussed in church. He emphasizes that every battle, whether natural or supernatural, offers us an opportunity to learn. Sadly, many of us fail to learn from our experiences and instead become entitled, blaming God for our struggles.

Pastor Thomas reminds us that we do not wrestle with flesh but with the principalities and powers, rulers of darkness in the heavenly places. These battles we face provide us with a chance to gain insight into the strategies and tactics of the enemy. He encourages us to approach these battles with prayer, fasting, and intercession. Rather than embracing the world’s systems, we must call upon the overcomer spirit and spiritual weapons of warfare that God has given us to stand with His authority and declare His truth, casting out demons, darkness, and fear.

The key to your victory is to call upon the name of the Lord, change your posture and perspective, and ask for God’s strategies against the enemy. By doing so, we can learn from our experiences and become better equipped to fight spiritual battles.

The Orphans Hands ministry is dedicated to reaching out to impoverished communities in Moldova and Ukraine. Many families cannot provide for their children and resort to sending them to orphanages. Unfortunately, these children often face abandonment and neglect, with little hope for a brighter future. When they eventually age out of the system, they are left vulnerable to the dangers of human trafficking.

That’s where the Orphans Hands ministry steps in – providing a place of intercession, healing, and prayer for these young individuals. With a village of homes in Moldova and a house in Odessa, Ukraine, these children are given a chance to learn and grow. They receive training on how to use their spiritual weapons to combat the enemy’s schemes and to draw closer to their heavenly Father.

Despite the many battles they have faced, the children in the Orphans Hands ministry have come to know that nothing is impossible with God. They have found joy in ministering to the needs of Ukrainian refugees on the frontlines. Through their Constant Care ministry, the Orphans Hands team continues to provide support and care to those in need, thanks to the generous support of donors like you.
