The Lord has been speaking to his heart about the battles of the mind we face daily. The biggest battlefield that we will ever face in our lives is our minds. “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7 That battle of our minds can be so intense that we defeat ourselves by a mere thought. Seeds of doubt placed there by the enemy can turn into strongholds as we dwell on them, creating fear. These strongholds can hinder our spiritual relationship with Jesus. Fear is the devil’s faith, and it’s what he thrives on. The devil will stop at nothing to keep your mind bound and a prisoner to his chains of fear. Pastor Drost wants to help you take back control of your thoughts by renewing your mind in the word of God. This battle is not yours; this battle, no matter how big or small, is the Lord’s. We are created to praise the Lord through every season of our lives. Reminding the devil how big your God is through songs of praise—turning fear into faith. You can walk through this storm knowing that you are victorious in Jesus. Don’t allow the enemy to gain ground in your mind by fear; remind him who he is messing with. When we set our minds on the things above, everything else fades away. The heart of our ministry is in Moldova. It’s an impoverished country in Eastern Europe, where we help rescue lost and broken children who have been kicked out on the streets by their loved ones. These children are sent to orphanages at a very young age and grow up never knowing the love of a family. It’s there, in Vatra, where we have a village of homes, a warm place for these children, whose battles of the mind are defeated daily, one by one, as they discover who they are in Christ. Our mission is to empower them with the word of God to help them break down the strongholds of their minds. Reminding them how much Jesus loves them and what His love came to do. They enjoy sharing what they have learned with those who hurt them, giving hope, and telling them that God has a plan for their lives. Though the task is challenging, it’s worth fighting for.
