Use Your Elbows

On Daily Faith, Philip introduces you to his dear friend and long-time mentor, Bishop Patrick Schatzline. Bishop Schatzline is the Founding Pastor of Daystar Family Church in Northport, AL, and his younger son, Scott Schatzline, serves as the lead pastor. Bishop Schatzline wants to share with you some of his early life and how the Lord radically transformed a gangster into a man of God. His loyalty and obedience to the Lord severed the ties of this world that once held him bound. Since his salvation in Jesus, he has traveled in ministry, planting many churches across the US and all around the globe for the advancement of God’s Kingdom. Amid the demands of life, it’s easy to get distracted and off focus, leaving our hands empty when we come to God. As we walk by faith daily in pursuit of His call, we will hear God whisper His purpose, filling our hands. Bishop wants to share the importance of developing a covenant relationship with Jesus and how he discovered his purpose and destiny in God’s Kingdom. Set time aside in your busy schedule, intently listening to the heart of the Father, and respond in obedience. You are created for a purpose. Don’t allow the enemy to cast shadows of fear and torment on the walls, keeping you from obeying Him. Keep your hands full of His purpose, as it will cause you to use your elbows. The Orphans Hands ministry is the heartbeat of our outreach. We have a village of homes in Moldova called Vatra Village and a house in Ukraine. For over thirty years, we have been helping save and rescue orphaned and abandoned children, giving them a place to grow up and a chance to learn about Jesus. When these kids are sent to the orphanages, they are often told that no one will ever love them or care about them. Those words of discouragement, along with fear and hopelessness, have left huge holes in their hearts. As they age out of the system, they are left with a sense of false hope and subject to the risks of human trafficking. The Orphans Hands has stepped in and given them a family and place to call home. As the love of Jesus begins to fill the gaps in their hearts, they discover what it means to be in a covenant relationship with the Lord. Our kids are stepping into their God-given purpose and destiny from sons and daughters to missionaries through obedience. Their hands are full, and they are using their elbows. We are excited to soon welcome fifteen more girls and boys into our new home, Betzer House, and it’s your prayers and generous support through Jesus that makes this possible.
