A Heart of Humility
On Daily Faith, our guest is Pastor Tyson Coughlin from Vision Church in Charlotte, NC. Pastor Tyson has lead Vizion Church for the past nine years; what started as a small college bible study group has flourished into a thriving church hungry for more of God. Pastor Tyson has a contagious, energetic, and refreshing passion that goes after the heart of God with a desire to reach all men and women for the Gospel of Christ. Recently, he has been preaching a sermon series called “Stay Humble.” It’s a chapter by chapter look into the book of Philippians in the Bible of how Paul was on his third round of asking the Lord where to go. The doors kept closing around him, but that didn’t mean he was denied. Instead, God was rerouting Paul’s journey. Yet, with everything that came against Paul during his travels, he still sought out the Lord with humility. He pushed and persevered through fear and the roughest nights with an attitude of praise and heart of worship. Philip and Pastor Tyson want you to know that God doesn’t use fear to move. He uses Faith. If you are stuck in a rut today, start moving forward and encouraging yourself in the Lord. Put on a song of praise and turn your gaze to Jesus, despite how you feel where you are. God responds to your faith, and faith requires action. Our prayer today is that your heart will be encouraged and strengthened in the Lord, letting go of fear and walking in praise. For over 30 years, we have been rescuing orphaned and abandoned children from growing up facing fears of forced labor and are subject to the risks of human trafficking. The Orphans Hands is the heart of our ministry. We have a village of homes in Moldova called Vatra Village and a house in Ukraine. These children who we help save have been told that no one loves them, and it doesn’t matter what happens to them. But that is the farthest thing from the truth. We tell them, “If they were born, God has a plan.” The Lord has changed their lives from pain into purpose. As a result, our kids are growing and maturing in their relationship with the Lord, learning what it means to have a heart of humility, praise, and worship unto God. They have let go of the fears from the past and are moving forward with obedience, stepping into the new things God has planned for their lives. They are living testimonies that if God can do it for them, He can do it for you! Thank you. For more information about The Orphans Hands ministry, please visit www.theorphanshands.org.
