Finding Hope in Times of Distress

Today, on Daily Faith, Pastor Dennis Watson, Senior Pastor of Celebration Church in Metairie, LA. Celebration Church is one of the ten campus locations in the greater New Orleans area, also having an international location in Costa Rica. Their mission is to help people encounter the presence of God, disciple, and teach them for the Kingdom of God. Pastor Dennis’s message for God’s people is key to finding hope in times of distress. In the perilous times we currently live, many people suffer from emotional grief and have lost all hope. Undealt with, these various emotions can turn into anger, fear, and depression, often becoming an outward expression that can hinder our future blessings. Pastor Dennis wants you to know that God is for you and not against you. God loves you with a love that won’t let go. If you are struggling with times of uncertainty, we want to encourage you to take time to sit with the Lord and cast all of your cares upon Him, sing praises to the Lord, and let your faith rise in who God is and what He has done in your life! This process of pain and grief is for a greater purpose. You will recover all in Jesus’ name!

For over the past thirty years, the Orphans Hands ministry has rescued the lives of countless orphaned children, saving them from the fears and risks of human trafficking. Moldova has one of the highest death rates due to alcohol abuse. Poverty and fear have struck the hearts of these hopeless families, leaving them in despair. They send their children to live in an orphanage at a young age. When they turn sixteen, they are kicked out of the system and forced onto the streets, helpless and afraid. The Orphans Hands ministry has a village of homes in Moldova called Vatra and a house in Odessa, Ukraine. In times of distress, they have found the love and hope of Jesus as their Savior. They are no longer orphans, but sons and daughters of God turned into missionaries, sharing the same passion they have received. Putin’s War on Ukraine has caused us to safely evacuate our home in Odessa. Our kids are being God’s hands extended to helpless Ukrainian refugees by supplying food, blankets, and Bibles. Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support for the Orphan’s Hands.
